IBPS Clerk Exam Introduction

Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) is a government body that conducts recruitment exam for all public sector banks (except SBI) on Clerical and Officer posts. IBPS was established in 1975 at Mumbai, Maharastra. It conducts recruitment of Clerk, Probationary Officer and Specialist Officers exam every year and offers recruitment to thousands of competitive aspirants every year. The IBPS Clerk exam is conducted every year for recruitment on Clerical Cadre in various banks. The process involves two steps i.e. Prelims and Mains exam and both are computer based exams. Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) will release the official notification inviting applications for recruitment on Clerical Cadre posts in the month of Nov 2019. IBPS Clerk Recruitment is one of the most anticipated government exam among competitive exam aspirants. Around 7000 vacant Clerk posts will be filled through the recruitment process. IBPS Clerk Exam Application Fee

The candidates can pay the required application fee through Credit Card/ Debit Card/ Net Banking/ IMPS or Mobile Wallets. The application fees vary according to the category of candidate.

For SC/ST/PWD/EXSM: Rs. 100

IBPS Clerk Exam Vacancy Details

IBPS Clerk Exam Pattern

The IBPS Clerk Exam is conducted in two stages i.e. Prelims Exam and Mains Exam. Both of them are Computer Based Exam. The Prelims exam is of qualifying nature while the marks obtained in Mains exam are considered for final selection. Detailed IBPS Clerk Exam Pattern is as follows.

Eligibility Criteria IBPS Clerk Exam

Candidates are advised to check the eligibility criteria very carefully before applying for the IBPS Clerk Recruitment Exam 2019. The details are given below:

Educational Qualification: The candidate must be a graduate from any recognized board or university. The candidate must possess original degree at the time of registration. Working knowledge of Computer is also mandatory with proficiency in the official language of the state/UT where the applicant has applied for.

Age Limit

The minimum age of the candidate to apply for the recruitment is 20 years and the maximum age is 28 years i.e. the candidate must be born in between 02 Sep 1990 to 01 Sep 1998. Axe relaxation is also applicable according to the category of students.

How to Apply IBPS Clerk Exam

To apply for the IBPS Clerk Recruitment, you have to visit the official website of IBPS. As soon as the notification will be released, the link to apply for the recruitment process will be generated. The Application process is also divided into 6 steps.
1. Register as a new user with your Name, D.O.B and Email ID.
2. Get a Registration number and password on your email id to further proceed the process.
3. Provide your basic details like father's name, address, contact no. etc.
4. Enter your details of educational qualification.
5. Upload your Photograph and scanned copy of your signature.
6. Pay your fee using any medium.
Once you have completed your application process, keep your registration number safe and wait for the admit card to be released. Also take a printout of your completely filled form for future reference.

Admit Card IBPS Clerk Exam

The Admit Card of IBPS Clerk Exam will be released one or two weeks prior to the exam. The link to download Admit Card will be made available on the official website as well as safalta education portal. All details regarding the CBT is mentioned on the Admit Card including Exam Date, Exam Center, Exam shift and much more. Registration number and date of birth is required to download Admit Card from the official website.

Cut Off IBPS Clerk Exam

The IBPS Clerk Exam Cut-off score varies state wise. In few states like Tamil Nadu and Karnataka, the Prelims Exam Cut off score drops down to 55 to 60 while in most of the other states, the cut-off score reaches 72 to 75. In Mains Exam, the cut off falls in between 40 to 45 for Reserved categories and 45 to 55 for Unreserved category.

Result IBPS Clerk Exam

The IBPS Clerk Exam Result will be declared in online mode on its official website. The candidates will be allowed to check their Prelims or Mains Exam Result from the official website as soon as it will be released.
