IBPS PO Exam

Introduction

Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) conducts the IBPS PO Bank Recruitment Examination to select Probationary Officers to the various Public Sector Banks in India. Interested and eligible candidates are required to apply on the official website of IBPS and appear for the online examinations to be inducted as an IBPS PO Officer. Notification

The official notification for IBPS Recruitment Exam 2018 will be announced shortly. Once the official notification is released, IBPS Recruitment 2018 would commence immediately afterwards. The recruitment body, IBPS is expected to issue the notification for the position of IBPS PO posts tentatively in the month of August. On being compared to last year statistics, candidates can expect almost over 3500 vacancies for IBPS PO 2018.

Application Process

Interested and eligible candidates are required to register online for the recruitment process on the official IBPS website, once the official notification has been announced. IBPS PO online application form 2018 would be tentatively made available in the month of August to September on their official website, www.ibps.in. Candidates would be given an entire month to submit the online application form. Interested and eligible candidates are required to go through the detailed notification available online and plan their future strategy.

Since the official notification for the recruitment of IBPS PO posts 2018 has not been declared, we are unable to quote the number of vacancies there would be. However, keeping last years data in mind, candidates can expect over 3,500 vacancies to IBPS PO Recruitment Post 2018.

Eligibility Criteria

Interested candidates to be eligible to appear for the IBPS PO Recruitment Exam 2018 are required to be citizens of India, Nepal or Bhutan. Candidates are also required to be between the age group of 20-30 years calculated on the day of the release of the notification. There has been age relaxations provided for the benefit of the reserved class. Candidates are also required to have successfully completed they graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university and should have passed in the English Language as one of the subjects at HSC/SSC/Intermediate or Graduation Level.

Admit Card

Since there has been no formal announcement for the recruitment of IBPS PO 2018, looking at last year we can safely say that, since the Prelims have been scheduled for October 2018, Admit Cards would be comfortably released in the beginning of September, giving candidates enough time to view and download their Admit Card. The Admit Card would be made available on the official website of ibps.in. Candidates should realise that it is mandatory to take their Admit Cards to the examination venue, not doing so, would lead to their examination paper being canceled.

Cut Off

The IBPS Recruitment Exam process would be carried out through a three-tier selection procedure which would consist of a Preliminary and Main Exams followed by an Interview Round. The Prelims and Mains exam would be conducted online. Candidates are required to clear each process to get shortlisted and progress to the next stage of the recruitment. Final selection of the candidates would be based on Mains and Interview merit, the prelims exam would be of qualifying nature only. Once the official notification is released, we will always know about the cut-off that has been set for this year.

Result

Since there has been no formal announcement for the recruitment of IBPS PO 2018, looking at last year we can safely say that once the Interview Round has concluded, candidates can expect their results to be declared within the next one month. The IBPS PO results would be made available on the official website of ibps.in for candidates to view and download.
