(I) De-code the Exam Pattern: It is very important for you to have complete knowledge of the exam syllabus and exam pattern. After getting the complete knowledge, you will become able to pin point your study and leave whatever is unnecessary. You cannot expect the exact pattern of the exam as it changes every year. You can expect the level of difficulty of questions asked in the exam. You will also learn about the expected cut-off of your state as this is a state wise exam.

(II) Plan your study: Once you have analyzed the question paper, you should create a study plan and dedicate time for all subjects. Five subjects are asked in Pre exam, i.e. Reasoning Ability, Numerical Ability, English Language/Hindi Language, General Awareness (with special reference to Banking Industry), and Computer Knowledge. With correct Study Material, you can easily score good in all sections. Choose from Hindi and English according to your plan. Remember to dedicate a time for revision also.

(III) Keep an eye on the Mains Exams: As you already know that the Mains exam is much more difficult than the Pre exam. If you prepare for Pre exam only, you will be left with very limited time to prepare for Mains exam. So, make sure you do a detailed study to prepare for the Mains exam along with the pre. Additionally, if you prepare for Mains good, you will definitely perform better in the Pre.

(IV) Read Newspaper Regularly: Newspaper reading is the most essential step to crack any competitive exam. It not only helps to strengthen your Current Affairs, but also improves your English Grammar and Comprehension knowledge. Choose Business or Economy based newspapers to crack banking and IBPS exams.

(V) Track your Progress: You should always know where you stand. To keep an eye on your progress, go through Online Mock Tests and check your performance. With real time exam experience, you will become able to assess and improve your preparation. Keep testing yourself with mock tests and you won’t feel exposed to anything extraordinary during the exam.

By following these 5 tips, you will surely hit the bullseye.
