Mumbai University has released the Second Merit List for the students seeking admission in the colleges affiliated to it. The varsity has also released the cut off list along with the merit list to define the criteria for admission. The candidates who have applied for admission throughout these affiliated colleges can check the merit list now. The merit list is available on the official website of the affiliated colleges. However, the merit list for the remaining colleges will be released soon.
As per the official notification, the schedule for document verification and payment of application fee for students catalogued in the second merit list will commence from June 21, 2019. The verification process and admission fee payment will be held on 21, 22 & 24 June 2019. While the first merit list was released on June 17, 2019. As per the media reports, more than 2.5 lakh students registered for admission this year.

There are a total of 60 departments and Institutes in the University. About 749 colleges are affiliated to the University. The candidates have to submit following documents while appearing for admission in the colleges:-
- Class 10th & Class 12th mark sheet
- Conduct Certificate
- Transfer certificate
- Caste Certificate
- Valid ID proof
The candidates are informed that the third and final merit list will be released on June 24, 2019, according to the university schedule. The document verification process and fee payment for the students who qualified in the third merit list will be held on June 25, 2019, to June 27, 2019.
