North Western Railway has made a major change in the pattern of departmental examination (GDCE / LDCE). The changes has been made in the examination patterns and the timing of the examination. Railway's Deputy CPO (Welfare) RK Meena has issued instructions to Jaipur, Jodhpur, Bikaner and Ajmer Division in this regard. North Western Railway Employees Union (NWREU) Zonal Head Vineet Mann and Joint Secretary Subhash Parik said that the Railways have decided to make the questions pattern as objective. Now all the questions in the examination will be in the form of MCQs. Also, the time of the written examination has been limited to two hours instead of three hours.


Examinations will be held on these posts

In the North Western Railway, Jaipur, Ajmer, Jodhpur and Bikaner divisions have started the process of online application for recruitment on 367 posts of different categories for 367 highly qualified employees. In this, employees of Level 1 and 2 of the railways will be able to increase their rank by taking the examination. Under which 60 posts of junior clerk cum typist, 93 posts of the assistant loco pilot, 52 posts of commercial ticket clerks, 41 posts for senior clerk cum typist, 75 posts for Senior Commercial cum ticket clerk and 46 posts of Goods Guard will be recruited. The last date of application for these posts is July 17, 2019.


About GDCE / LDCE

General Departmental Competitive Examination (GDCE) is being held by the Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC). Maximum Age Limit for sitting in GDCE is 40 years and 45 years for General and SC/ST candidates respectively. The examination paper for GDCE is set by Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) and the evaluation is done by RRCs.
