Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President of Philippines Rodrigo Duterte had details talks together on 13th Nov, 2017. In this conversation, agreement has been done to increase bilateral cooperation to combat terrorism and accelerate trade and investment. At the same time, four agreements were signed between India and the Philippines on November 13, 2017. These agreements were about to increase cooperation in many areas including defense, agriculture, micro, medium and small enterprises and to accelerate the relationship between the Indian Council of World Affairs and the Philippines Foreign Service Institute.   Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the President of the Philippines, Rodrigo Dutter   Former Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs Preeti Saran said that a decision has been taken to set up a bench of the Indian Council of Cultural Relations at the University of the Philippines. The first agreement was supported by the cooperation in the defense sector, the second important agreement was on cooperation in the field of agriculture and the Prime Minister's visit to Rice Research Institute was an important part of this agreement. The MoUs on cooperation between Micro, Medium and Small Enterprises between Indian Council of World Affairs and the Philippines Foreign Service Institute were also signed. Earlier, the Prime Minister addressed the ASEAN Trade and Investment Summit (ASEAN Summit) on 13th Nov. More than 12 hundred business representatives took part in this summit. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the 12th East Asia Summit, 15th ASEAN Summit and comprehensive regional economic cooperation meeting on November 14, 2017 before concluding his three-day visit.   Click Here for More Current Affairs
