Basic Physics Formulas: Physics is all about defining fundamental constituents and our universe's interaction. Have we ever thought about why the sky remains blue in the day and changes its color during the phases of the day or how we are able to stand on the earth while we fly on the moon? Physics has all your answers. The subject has multiple fields, including nuclear Physics and quantum Physics, to study and make a career in. When we learn the subject, we come across multiple concepts and numerical and mathematical questions which require formulas to solve them. Therefore, in this blog, we will be talking about the Basic Physics Formulas that you must learn if you are a science student or preparing for any competitive.

List of Basic Physics Formula

Here are the Basic Physics Formulas. Let’s have a look at them-

Acceleration Formula

Acceleration is the rate of change in velocity to the change in time. It is indicated with the symbol 'a'.
Formula: a =(v-u)/t

Newton’s Second Law

This law is very prominent among the Basic Physics Formulas. It can help express the product of mass and the Acceleration of the body.
Formula: F = ma

Average speed Formula

This Formula is used to determine the average speed (S) of the moving body for the distance covered (D) and the time duration (T).
Formula: S = d/t

Power Formula

Energy refers to the capacity to perform an activity or task. However, the energy used to carry out an activity for a particular time period is called power. It is among the most commonly used Basic Physics Formulas.
Formula: P=W/t

Density formula

The density formula describes the denseness of material in a particular given area.
Formula: P=m/V

Pressure formula

The amount of pressure applied body unit of an area is called the pressure of an object.
Formula: P=F/A

Ohm’s law formula

Among the most prominent Basic physics formulas, the ohms law is described as the current (I) passing through some conductor object is directly relative to the potential difference between the two endpoints of the conductor object.
Formula: V= I × R

Weight formula

This formula determines the force with which an object falls due to gravity.
Formula: W=mg

Kinetic energy formula

Kinetic energy is the capacity that is possessed by a body because of its state of motion.
Formula: E = 1/2 mv²

Work formula

The work formula determines the multiplication of the magnitude of displacement (D) and the element of the force.
Formula: W = F × d × cosθ

Displacement formula

Displacement refers to the change in the position of the object from its initial position to its final position. It is among the most prominent Basic Physics Formulas.
Formula: D = Xf–Xi = ΔX

Frequency Formula

Frequency is the revolutions completed per second or the number of wave cycles.
Formula: F =v/λ

Fahrenheit formula

It is a conversion formula for temperature.
Formula: F = (9/5× °C) + 32

Torque formula

Torque is the rotational force or turning effect.
Formula: T = F × r × sinθ

Pendulum formula

This formula determines how long the pendulum takes to swing back and forward in seconds. It is among the most commonly used Basic Physics Formulas.
Formula: T = 2π√Lg

Mass Formula

The mass formula depicts the relationship between force and mass.
Formula: F = ma or m = F/m

SI Units

SI units are given less significance as a concept. However, they are very important. Below are some of the most important SI units you must remember if you are a science student or preparing for any competitive exams.

These are an important part of Basic physics formulas.
