IAO Exam Dates 2022-2023: Important Dates
Due to the recurrent pandemic, the IAO exam has been postponed and the exam dates have not been declared yet for the year 2022-2023. There are five steps in the selection process for this Olympiad exam.Stage 1
The Indian Association of Physics Teachers (IAPT) administers the National Standard Examination (NSE). This association conducts the National Standard Examination in junior science. It is the initial step towards junior category qualification for the IAO exam.Stage 2
The candidates who perform excellently in the National Standard Examination (NSE) are promoted to the Indian national Olympiad (INO) junior science in the second. NCSM looks after the event. The Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (HBCSE) helps NCSM in selecting candidates for the third stage in the second stage.Related blogs:

Stage 3
Candidates are instructed to prepare for the Olympiad-level observational and theoretical events. Candidates learn the basics of astronomical data processing, astrophysics, and night sky watching, with an aim of developing intellectual basis and Problem-Solving Skills.Multiple Observation and theoretical tests are conducted during the camp. On the basis of the success of candidates in these exams, they are chosen for the international astronomical Olympiad to represent India.
Stage 4
The chosen candidates go through thorough observational astronomy training programs at one of the NCSM’s scientific centers before appearing in the International Astronomy Olympiad.Stage 5
Three candidates are chosen for the International astronomy Olympiad from stage 4 to appear in the event.Also read:
