IAO Exam Registration 2022-2023, Check Important Documents and Selection Process

IAO registration 2022-2023: IAO registration 2022-2023 dates have not been declared yet. However, it will be soon declared by the organizing body viz Euro-Asian Astronomical Society. International Astronomy Olympiad (IAO) is a scientific education event held every year. Candidates falling under the age group of 14 to 18 can participate in this Olympiad. The Olympiad evaluates the knowledge of high school students on the subject of Astronomy. IAO encourages students to raise and improve their interest and learning in Astronomy. IAO Application guidelines 2022-2023 

Pre Application form

• Data about the international Astronomy Olympiad: Short information in the pre-application form
• It is compulsory for participating countries, which participate regularly in IAO, and optional for new countries. 

Documents Required for IAO

• Personal data
• Application form
• Passport-size photograph scanned with signature 
• Class 10th mark sheet
• Aadhar Card 
• Pan card

The registration fee for the International Astronomy Olympiad is Rs 200 for each student. Candidates should keep these things in mind so that they don’t forget them and effectively prepare for the exam. Candidates should go through the syllabus and prepare well for the exam. It is also significant to know and understand the eligibility Criteria for the exam before applying for the IAO Exam. 
 

IAO Selection Process

Following are the stages through which candidates can reach the International Astronomy Olympiad-

• National Standard Examination in Astronomy (NSEA)
• Indian National Astronomy Olympiad (INAO)
• Pre-departure Training Camp (PDT)
• International Olympiad in Astronomy and Astrophysics (IOAA)

IAO Eligibility Criteria 2022-2023

• Candidates applying for the IOA should fall under the age of 14-18.
• Candidates should be studying in Classes 9, 10, and 11.
• Candidates with Overseas Citizenship of India (OCI) are allowed to participate in this Olympiad, but until the training camp only. Only students of Indian birth can move ahead in the next phase.
