INMO Registration 2022: Candidates should know that there is no specific INMO registration. Students who qualify for the Regional Mathematical Olympiad (RMO) become eligible for the INMO.
INMO stands for the Indian National Mathematical Olympiad. It is the third stage in the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO), first bringing the Pre RMO, Pre regional Mathematical olympiad, and second RMO, regional Mathematical olympiad. The INMO is conducted by the Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (HBCSE) on behalf of the National Board of Higher Mathematics (NBHM). The aim of the organizing body to conduct the exam is to promote Mathematical skills in candidates and help them showcase their talent on an international platform. This blog will help you understand INMO, its registration, and other important information regarding the Olympiad exam. Candidates who qualify for the Indian National Mathematical olympiad are sent to the Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (HBCSE) for training for other stages in the IMO program. Usually, 900 candidates participate in the INMO, and around 35 students are selected from the Indian National Mathematical olympiad phase.

INMO Registration 2022

The Indian National Mathematical Olympiad was conducted in 1989 for the first time. Near about 45 candidates are selected from the INMO Exam for the International Mathematics Olympiad training center. The INMO Exam consists of six descriptive mathematical questions and goes on for four hours. All the questions are mandatory. Candidates are supposed to submit the answer sheet, along with the rough work after the end of the examination.

  • Candidates should know that there is no specific INMO registration. Students who qualify for the Regional Mathematical Olympiad (RMO) become eligible for the INMO.
  • INMO stands for the Indian National Mathematical Olympiad.
  • Around 900 students are selected for the Regional Mathematical Olympiad for the INMO Exam. Out of them, around 35 students are selected for the INMO Exam based on their RMO Exam performance. 
  • If a candidate wishes to be part of the International Mathematical Olympiad, he or she must qualify for the Regional Mathematical Olympiad (RMO) and secure excellent marks. 
The coordinators of the Indian National Mathematical Olympiad (INMO) exam are the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS), and Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS), coordinate the Regional Mathematics Olympiad. The exam is conducted in 25 regions in the country.
