A recent elective subject 'Applied Mathematics' is added in Group A (Maths).
 

Class 12 - Modifications in the NCERT Syllabus

Class 12 Biology
  • An additional read titled ‘ Biology Supplementary Material’ has been counted.
  • The holy groves chapter has been now counted in chapter 15.
Class 12 Physics
Theory - No changes

Practicals
The number of practicals has been increased to 6 from 5.
The below-mentioned practical has been eliminated-
  • Finding out the wavelength of a laser beam by diffraction.
  • To comprehend the principles of AND, OR, and NOT gates. Making their identical circuits using a bell and cells or battery.
 Class 12 Chemistry
Theory
  • The addition of chapter 'Solid state' in unit-1 and the sequence of units are revised. 
  • There is an addition of group-15 elements in chapter -7. The periods are increased from 12 to 14. 
  • Additions are done in Unit 5- Polymers: Classification-synthetic and natural methods, methods of polymerization
  • There is an alternation in chapter 13 to amines. Topics of cyanides and isocyanides have been eliminated. 
 Practicals
  • The number of practicals is now 60. The following modifications are done- 
  • Study of the effect of different temperatures on the activity of salivary amylase.
  • Study of the presence of suspended particulate matter in the air at 2 different sites.
  • Changes in Qualitative Analysis: CO₂⁺and NO₃ added. As₃⁺ are eliminated. 
 Class 12 Political Science
There’s an addition of following subjects to political sciences.
