UPTET 2020 Exam Dates and other details can be out anytime.
NATIONALITY: Candidates appearing for UPTET 2020 should be citizens of India. However, candidates belonging to Nepal/Tibet/Bhutan are also eligible to apply.

NUMBER OF ATTEMPTS: There is no restriction on the number of attempts as such provided the candidates to meet other eligibility requirements such as age, educational qualification etc.
UPTET 2020 Eligibility for Paper-1 (Primary Teachers (Class 1 to 5)):
- Candidates should meet any one of the following eligibility criteria given below to appear for UPTET 2020 Paper-1.
- Candidates should have completed their graduation from any recognised college or university and should have pursued two years Diploma in Elementary Education (DElEd).
- Candidates should have a Bachelor's Degree from any recognised college or university and should have the Basic Training Certificate (BTC) for distance education.
- Candidates should have a Bachelor's Degree from any recognised college or university and should have completed a two-year Diploma in Education (D.Ed).
- Candidates should have cleared their graduation or post-graduation with minimum 55% marks and should have pursued Bachelor of Education (B.Ed).
- Candidates should have completed their graduation and should have a BTC in Urdu.
- Candidates should have completed their graduation and have a Diploma in Teaching from Aligarh Muslim University.
- Candidates should have a minimum of 50% marks in class 12 Board and should have completed a Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.).
UPTET 2020 Eligibility for Paper-2 (Upper Primary Level Teachers (Class 6 to 8)):
- Candidates should have completed their graduation from a recognised college or university and two years Diploma in Elementary Education.
- Candidates should have completed their graduation or post-graduation with minimum 50% marks and should have completed or should be in the last year of B.Ed/B/Ed Special Education.
- Candidates should have minimum 50% marks in their class 12 Board exam and should complete four years' BScEd/BSc BEd from an NCTE (National Council for Teacher Education) recognised institution.
- Candidates should have minimum 50% marks in their class 12 Board exam and should have completed or should be in the final year of BElEd.
- Candidates should have completed their graduation with minimum 50% marks and should have completed B.Ed.
UPTET 2020 Eligibility Certificate
UPTET Eligibility Certificate once secured is valid for the next five years.
Candidates belonging to the Unreserved Category need to score a minimum of 60% to be eligible to possess the UPTET Eligibility Certificate.
Candidates belonging to the Reserved Category need to secure a minimum of 55% to be eligible to possess the UPTET Eligibility Certificate.
