The stages in RRB ALP Exam are as follows:
- CBT Stage 1
- CBT Stage 2
- Computer-Based Aptitude Test
The details regarding each of these stages are as given below.
RRB ALP Exam Pattern: CBT Stage 1
- CBT Stage 1 is conducted online.
- A total of 75 questions are asked.
- The duration of the exam is 60 minutes.
- Each question carries one mark.
- There is negative marking and 1/3 marks are deducted for every incorrect answer.

RRB ALP Exam Pattern: Stage 2
- CBT Stage 2 has two parts- Part A and Part B.
- Part B is only qualifying in nature and trade-specific.
- A total of 175 questions are asked in Stage 2- 100 from Part A and 75 from Part B.
- There is negative marking and 0.33 marks are deducted for every incorrect answer.
- The duration of Stage 2 is 150 minutes- 90 minutes for Part A and 60 minutes for Part B.
